EPCOT is going through a major transformation. They are changing what was future world into world discovery, world celebration, and world nature. They have already opened several new attractions, and we look forward to seeing what is yet to come!
Spaceship Earth
Spaceship Earth is the ride inside the big giant ball that is the symbol of EPCOT. This ride takes you on a journey through time as you witness pivotal moments that have lead to the advancement of civilization across the world. One of EPCOT’s recent advancements is hard to miss when you visit the park at night. Spaceship Earth has been covered in multicolor lights that continuously change the look of this iconic attraction.
Test Track
Test track lets you design your own vehicle.You choose the looks, style, and performance of the car that you design.You then hop into the ‘car’ that you created, and see how it performs based on traction, response, efficiency, and speed.The speed portion of the test sends you on an outdoor track where you actually travel about 65 miles per hour. This is a popular attraction that is definitely worth a visit. Height Requirement – 40 inches.
Mission Space
Mission Space is a simulator ride where you get to pilot your way on a space mission. There are two versions of this ride. You can choose either the orange mission or the green mission. The orange mission lets you pilot your way to Mars, while the green mission lets you fly around the earth. The orange mission has some spinning that has you feel the force of 2.5G( over twice the force of gravity). The green ride does not spin and is recommended if you are susceptible to motion sickness. Choose your mission and enjoy the flight! Height Requirement – green- 40 inches; orange – 44 inches
The Seas with Nemo & Friends
Ride through The Seas with Nemo & Friends as you watch the adventures of Nemo. This ride leads to the Nemo characters being in a real aquarium. When you get off the ride, explore the aquarium with sharks, stingrays, manatees, sea turtles, and so much more.
Soarin’
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be Soarin’ on a hang glider over some of the most iconic locations in the world? If you haven’t, start wondering, and come experience this hang gliding simulator. This is an amazing experience as you fly over the Great Wall of China, the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the Taj Mahal, the Eiffel Tower, and so much more. This is a ride that I would definitely not miss. It is one of my personal favorites! Height Requirement – 40 inches.
Living with the Land
Living with the Land will take you on a boat ride where you will travel through several natural environments, from the rainforest to the desert, and see how nature supports life. Then float through a greenhouse, and see innovative ways that EPCOT is using to grow food more efficiently and environmentally friendly.
The Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival
In the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival theatre, you will view 3 Academy Award winning short films in 4D. Each film is only about 6-7 minutes long. They are very cleverly done, and this one is worth the visit.
Journey into Imagination with Figment
Journey into Imagination with Figment takes you through labs exploring the five senses, with the friendly dragon showing us that imagination is the biggest sense of all. This ride lets out into the interactive ‘What If’ labs where you can explore using your imagination with the five senses.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is Now Open. This brand new attraction is EPCOT’s first roller coaster ride. This is a fully enclosed roller coaster, with 360 degree rotation, a reverse launch, and visual sights that tell a story as you ride. This is an exciting addition for EPCOT, and we can’t wait to try it out! This ride will be using the virtual queue. In order to get in the queue, you must sign up in the app at the designated times. Then you will be assigned a boarding group. This ride also has an individual lightning lane purchase option. Entering the online queue, or purchasing the lightning lane are the only ways to ride this attraction.

Space 220
Space 220 is one of the newest attractions at Epcot is a fine dining experience that takes you up an elevator 220 miles into space. On the way up, you can watch as the earth gets further away, and this space station restaurant comes into view. Once you arrive, you will see amazing views of the earth below while you enjoy your meal. The space theme is not the only attraction of this restaurant, as the food is top notch. They also have adult and kid friendly beverages that are worth checking out. If you want an out of this world experience, this is the place for you!
World Showcase
The World Showcase will have you travel across the world as you walk through the pavilions of 11 different countries across the globe. Each country contains shopping, restaurants, occasional performances and shows that represent the country you are in. Even the cast members are from the country being represented. The 11 countries are Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, The United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom, and Canada.
Frozen Ever After
Frozen Ever After is located in the Norway Pavilion. This boat ride will take you through the lands of the movie Frozen. This is one of the newer rides, and the animatronics are quite good. This is a must see for fans of the movie, and worth the experience for everyone.
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros
Gran Fiests Tour Starring The Three Caballeros will have you travel by boat through the sites of Mexico as Donald Duck and his feathered friends gude you through this journey. This is located in the Mexico Pavilion of the World Showcase.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is one of the newest attractions at EPCOT located in the French pavilion. Ride along in this trackless 3D ride as you scurry around being the size of a rat through the kitchen of Gusteau’s French restaurant.
EPCOT Forever
Harmonious is being replaced with a new nighttime show that will be located in the middle of the World Showcase Lagoon beginning this fall. Until it opens, EPCOT Forever will entertain with a spectacular firework show. This is a great way to light up the night and top off your day! There are plenty of spots to view this experience so find a spot along the lagoon and enjoy the show.
Disney Skyliner
EPCOT is one of 6 destinations for the Disney Skyliner, the newest way to travel between the Disney parks and resorts. The Skyliner is a gondola system where you can travel through the air to get you where you’re going. This is a fun way to travel, and usually faster than most of the alternatives. The system has stations at Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Art of Animation, and Pop Century resorts. Give it a try if you need to transfer between any of these locations, or ride it just for fun if you don’t.
